The Character of GUIDI Leather
GUD / GUD2
Crafted from calf leather by Conceria Guidi & Rosellini in Tuscany, Italy, GUD / GUD2 is defined by its distinctive depth of color and natural variations in tone.
Vegetable-tanned and finished with dyes, the leather is glazed to create a subtle translucency and a rich, vintage-like appearance. Natural marks, wrinkles, and variations in color are preserved, allowing the unique character of each hide to shine through.
Over time, the leather becomes softer and more supple, developing a deeper color and a natural sheen. Its beauty lies in the way it evolves with use, revealing more of its character over the years.
GUD ST
GUD ST is made from the same calf leather by Conceria Guidi & Rosellini, distinguished by an additional hand-finishing process performed after the product has been assembled.
Each piece is carefully kneaded by skilled artisans, creating pronounced wrinkles and a richly textured surface. This process brings out complex variations in tone, adding depth, dimension, and a natural sense of volume to the leather.
“ST” stands for Stropicciato, an Italian term describing a crumpled or creased texture. Through this hands-on process, each piece develops its own distinctive expression. With use, the leather softens and gains an increasingly rich patina.
